This is some of my work from last term. We needed to make poems based on World War 2 or the Holocaust.
My favorite poem was the last one because it rhymes and it came together very well.
Rooms full of gases
Enormous piles of men
Men and women scream
War
Crazy destructive
Gasing murdering destroying
Nazis killing us all
Combat
Death and destruction
Bodys piled in masses
Was not a shower
Jewish gassed for no reason Should never happen again
We were sitting in our house Then heard a bashing at our door They smashed our windows and stuff We fell to the floor.
We packed our remaining things And got shipped far away The Jewish did nothing wrong Nazis think it is the way.
We’re scared for what happened to the others Taken to camps Depressed and starved In huts that are damp.
